Healthcare Business Resources, Inc. (HBR) is the physician billing company Evergreen partners with for our billing and collection services. HBR is at the forefront of the Emergency Department billing business, billing for over six million annual patient encounters. Fifty-two percent of HBR's business is comprised of independent Emergency Department clients. Evergreen's physician billing partner Healthcare Business Resources, was the first national billing company to voluntarily adopt a corporate compliance plan. This plan provides a means to ensure that we are in compliance with all laws and regulations that govern medical billing, including COBRA/EMTALA and HIPAA. This program, combined with the utilization of a computerized chart management system and Evergreen's chart collection process, results in effectively collecting practice revenues and minimizing risk.
